Protect your mental space
Sometimes the actual loss is very small.
Maybe you wasted 10 minutes.
Maybe you spent ₹100 or ₹200 on something stupid.
Maybe you made a small mistake that did not even matter much.
But if you let your mind sit with it for too long, that small loss starts growing.
Not in reality.
Only in your head.
You start thinking: “How could I be so stupid?” “Why did I not think better?” “This always happens with me.”
And suddenly, something that deserved 10 seconds of attention starts taking emotional space for hours, days, or sometimes even longer.
I have done this a lot in my life.
I have wasted so much mental energy on things that were not actually that big.
At that moment, they felt very serious. Sometimes even life and death.
But later I realized, many of them were just thoughts that I kept feeding.
Our mind is a sensitive thing.
We should be careful about what we allow it to consume.
Not every mistake deserves deep analysis.
Not every small loss needs a full emotional investigation.
Sometimes the best thing we can do is simply accept: “Yes, this happened.” “Maybe I could have done better.” “But this is not worth giving more space in my head.”
I still don’t have all of this figured out.
But I am trying to build this mindset:
If the loss is small, don’t make it bigger by thinking about it again and again.
Protect your mental space.
Some things are not worth carrying.
